‘72 Buick Electra came out of storage a week and a half ago. It sat in the same spot, completely untouched and covered (protected, stored) for 5.5 months. Plugged the battery back in, pumped the gas, started on the second crank fairly easily. Now it’s just hit 100,000 miles and is roaming the streets. With what I hope to be just minor work this year (it doesn’t seem to need any large jobs), this beauty will continue to glow through to the end of October of this year, at which time it will get stored indoors for the winter (again). (Pics are new. Reidus’ super cool & very rare ‘68 Datsun 1600 roadster can be seen in some pictures).

Well, that’s because it’s a deuce and a quarter. Which is basically the precursor to the M1 Abrams.

My friend is replacing his leased Nissan Leaf with 1972 Deuce and Quarter, he’s bout the Buick and almost ready to turn in the Leaf, I told him those were the 2 extremes in thought.

I think there’s a “turning over a new Leaf” joke to be made here.
